Introducing the New Chevy Silverado 1500 in Santa Paula
The Chevy Silverado 1500 is one of the most recognizable light-duty trucks on America's highways today, and for good reason. The Silverado not only looks sharp, but it is highly capable and versatile. New features include an available trailering package that allows drivers to engage in a self-driving mode, and the powertrain offerings of the Silverado 1500 are as diverse as ever. Once characterized as "like a rock," fans of the Silverado near Simi Valley know that the truck provides consistent performance in a variety of settings. Are you looking for a capable, versatile truck near Oxnard? Look no further than the Chevrolet Silverado light-duty truck.
What's New?
The latest Silverado has a restyled and striking front end, and every trim has additional safety features not seen in previous year models. The newest feature that many drivers love is Super Cruise. This feature allows drivers to focus on the road, and it is solely available on the High Country trim.
Trim Levels
The Silverado 1500 is available in seven trim levels:
- Work Truck
- Custom
- LT
- Trail Boss
- RST
- LTZ
- High Country
Drivers near Ventura will notice that a stand-alone Z71 trim is no longer available. However, the popular Z71 is now an add-on package that you can add to the V8 engines in the Chevrolet truck lineup.
Performance
Drivers love that the Silverado 1500 offers a variety of engine choices. The base engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and there's also a Duramax diesel inline-six engine. Plus, the Silverado offers two V8 gasoline engines, a 5.3-liter available in multiple trims and a 6.2-liter V8 that is an option for the High Country trim. These engines all provide the full-size truck with an athletic and agile feel that drivers appreciate.

All engines come paired with either an eight-speed or 10-speed automatic transmission. The transmission size reflects the size of the engine. The Silverado 1500 can carry up to 13,300 pounds, depending on the engine and transmission combination. This tow rating is one of the top in the light-duty truck class, and the Silverado boasts a maximum payload between 1,870 and 2,280 pounds.
Interior
While the exact features of the Silverado's interior will vary depending upon the trim package of the truck, drivers will appreciate that there is an interior for every type of driver. The basic interior offers manual locks and windows as well as a manually adjustable driver's seat. However, upgrading the trim levels offers the driver a way to customize the cabin to be as luxurious as one could imagine. Upper trims will feature open-pore wood trim and leather upholstery. However, all interiors offer lots of headroom, and the crew cab version of the Silverado 1500 offers ample legroom in the rear seating area.
While the interiors of the Silverado 1500 vary greatly, all Silverado 1500s offer a basic infotainment system. This tech includes a touchscreen, access to the software that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Safety
Drivers will love that multiple trims offer an additional trailering package, which adds to the safety system already present in every Silverado 1500. These standard safety features include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
An optional safety package includes HD Surround Vision, Trailer Camera Provisions, Trailer Side Blind Zone, Perimeter Lighting, and Rear Pedestrian Protection. The High Country trim offers the trailering safety package that includes Super Cruise; it is not available on other trims.
